My interests at the moment are primarly in Tensor Networks, Category Theory and Machine Learning. Especially the intersection of these fields (if it exists).
I am Niccolò, a PhD student at DTU Compute Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. In this space I will try to keep updates on my work and my interests. I come from Italy and did my Bachelor and Master there in Physics. My interest in complex systems led me to machine learning and eventually to start a research project in tensor networks for machine learning for my PhD. Tensor Networks are structures used widely in the quantum domain of physics and are an elegant, both simple and complex way of representing tensors. Riding the wave of exploring complexity and interactions I stumbled upon Category Theory, and I am now focusing on how to apply this new knowledge to what I learned about tensor networks. The use of category theory finally allowed me to pursue the study of Group Theory, which was always a distant mirage I never had the time to dedicate myself to. To summarize, I am now exploring Category Theory applied to tensor networks for machine learning, in the hope of learning something interesting.
